Reema Naresh is an Ayurvedic life style consultant, workshop creator and facilitator (nutrition, cooking, wellness and self-care), cultural consultant and multicultural health worker who has been involved in work with multicultural communities in Australia, New Zealand and United States for the past 15 years.

As a qualified Ayurvedic Life Style Consultant she continues to study and develop in this area. She has facilitated Ayurvedic Cooking Sessions for the Brisbane City Council BrisAsia Festival during the Art Bites Festival 2013 and 2015. She incorporates evidenced based information from modern nutrition into her nutrition and cooking workshops; as well as inspirations from Ayurveda.

She consults privately as well as runs group sessions under the wellness model of Ayurveda, traditional Indian health care model. Ayurveda is ancient knowledge still relevant in today’s modern technological world; offering wisdom to help people stay vibrant and healthy while realising their full potential. It is based on the idea of balancing bodily systems and uses diet, life style modifications and yoga and yogic breathing.

Reema currently works as a Multicultural Health Worker for the Good Start Program, Children’s Health Services, Queensland Health. As an experienced workshop facilitator she has worked with children and adults in Brisbane for the last 4 years under the current role. This work involves cultural tailoring of health promotion messages in a practical and holistic manner for the Maori and Pacific Island Community. Her workshops have practical, easy to put to use information related to creating delicious and nutritious meals for self and family. Chronic disease need not be part of people’s lives if simple, small and consistent changes are made every day. This is the essence of Ayurveda, a little bit of self-care every day! She has been running cooking and ayurvedic nutrition workshops as a business for the past 8 years.

Reema has recently launched her new business Radiant Inside Out. Whilst it is busy work working full time, being a mum and running a business, she is making workshops available on a monthly basis. The workshops will be related to self-care, learning about one’s own constitution, nutrition and food as medicine, cooking and various ayurvedic self-care techniques that enhance a person’s physical, mental and spiritual well-being. She is just about completed her yoga teacher training, so her workshop will also have yoga, mindful and relaxations practices.

Her academic background is psychology. Reema has also worked with multicultural communities in the area of mental wellness as a Bicultural Mental Health Promoter and a Cultural Consultant. Her commitment to wellness in the physical, mental and spiritual levels is supported in the work she chooses to engage in. She believes that a person’s quest to know themselves is an important part of their own personal journey and that journey has a profound impact on their ability to achieve their full potential.

Reema is passionate about Ayurveda, yoga, food as medicine, creativity in the kitchen and nutrition. Her commitment is to support and create opportunity for self-knowledge and improved health through her workshops.
